Any internet marketer’s goal is to make money. True fact, I’m sure you will all agree. If you intend to be an internet marketer then the first piece of advice I would give you is to build your opt-in list.

If you do not have a website then you can not put an opt in form on your site, but there are other ways!

The world wide web is a huge market and your business or marketing program is exposed to it. Imagine the whole online community as potential clients!

Now, as I said, one of the best marketing tools that you can use in your online business is building a list. An opt-in list is an effective way to offer future promotions and to continually promote. This means you can make enormous amounts income from your sales. You want your business to be a profitable one.

Any visitor that comes to your web site is a potential client. If you have information your visitor is interested in, then offer them more. If they subscribe to your information, then provide that for them.

Building a list works. Over and over again we hear the words…’The money is in the list!’ For every subscriber, you can work on 50c to $1 income per month. It doesn’t sound much but a list of 1,000 subscribers is still $500 to $1,000 every month.

When your list is a big fat zero those words are very disheartening.

Once you have a list you will also save money, time and effort. When you come up with a new product or new information, you know exactly who you will send updates to because you have a definite market.

This is one area that you will have to maintain if you want to have a steady source of income.

At the same time you should also be careful when building your opt-in list.

Don’t ever spam to potential subscribers. Right from the start they are not going to trust you. Lists are built on trust.

The benefits of having many regular subscribers are undeniable. They will definitely keep your business going and you will definitely enjoy the profits that will come in.

Once you’ve build up on a substantial opt-in list, make sure that you maintain it properly. Keep in contact with your subscribers. Send them updates. Give out special offers and helpful tips.

Go the extra step when building your list and their trust. ‘Over deliver’ in other words. Be prepared to give, before you start promoting your products, and don’t be in too much of a hurry to make dollars. delayed gratification is what it is all about.
